Thursday, January 22, 2009 - Stem Cell Guru

Today, I have a published medical article from the Winter 2008 edition of Anti-Aging Medical News. Dr. Zannos Grekos M.D. of Regenocyte has published his results from treating Ischemic Cardiomyopathy patients using VesCell Adult Stem Cells.

In this article (see below), Dr. Grekos took 16 heart disease patients with an Ejection fraction of less than 45% and New York Heart Failure class of II or greater and treated them with Theravitae's VesCell technology.

And the results?

  • At the beginning, these 16 heart disease patients had an average resting Ejection fraction of 28%. After 6 months, the average resting ejection fraction was 49%- an increase of 21 points!
  • What about stress ejection fraction (measured on a stress test)? The results were even better. Starting from an average of 36% before stem cell treatment, the patients had a stress ejection fraction of 64.5% - 6 months after the Adult Stem Cells were implanted. This was an increase of 28.5 points!
All of you heart patients out there know that these are pretty good results. You can see these results along with the entire published article below:
