Doug Rice - Spartan Warrior

When Stem Cell Guy watched the movie 300 , Doug Rice came to mind. Like King Leonidas in 300, Doug Rice stood tall and fought the odds rather than accepting his fate of death. However, unlike King Leonidas, Doug is still alive and well today thanks to Vescell- Stem cell therapy for heart disease.

Doug was suffering from congestive heart failure, the doc had recommended a new mechanical heart for him as he wasn't eligible for a heart transplant because of his diabetes.
