Back to my man Joe- After a couple of heart attacks, Joe was suffering from congestive heart failure. That is when he came to seek stem cell treatment at Theravitae.

Since this blog mainly focuses on heart disease, Stem Cell Guy thinks it is appropriate to recommend a blog he found recently. It is called the Heart Scan Blog and is run by a Dr. William R Davis. Dr. Davis is a cardiologist in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. And contrary to what some of you may have thought (including Stem Cell Guy), Wisconsin actually fares pretty well in the Cardiovascular Deaths rankings- #16 so those Wisconsin cards seem to be doing some good work. Yo Oklahoma, you are dead last. You have to make some lifestyle changes there. Maybe if Bob Stoops can ever win a bowl game....it may change your fortunes.
But I digress..back to Dr. Davis. The blog says it is "A frank and open discussion about CT heart scans, heart disease prevention and REVERSAL. The Heart Scan Blog accompanies the Track Your Plaque website."
Dr. Davis also says "I am deeply disturbed by the state of affairs in heart disease. Hospitals, drug companies, medical device companies, and physicians all profit enormously from heart disease. Here I expose the startling array of scams that exist. I discuss how people can recognize them and potentially avoid them."
However, unlike the UN which is "deeply disturbed" or "deeply concerned" on a regular basis and then does nothing about the problem (except call for more 'discussion'and 'meetings' to waste U.S. taxpayer money)...Dr. Davis actually offers good sound advice for heart disease patients. Stem Cell Guy thinks it is worth checking out.
Stem Cell Guy really stirred up the hornet's nest this time. You may have seen in my post a couple of days ago "New Adult Stem Cell Blog," I told the people who wore those "trendy" red tinted 1970's sunglasses that they look ridiculous and they should "take them off."
Well, Stem Cell Guy has never had such a negative reaction to one of his posts before. Have a look at what some of my loyal readers emailed to me.
Dear Stem Cell Guy, I have been reading your stem cell therapy blog for many years, but this time you went too far. I am one of those who wear those 'ridiculous' sunglasses and I will continue to wear them despite your advice. Despite what all of you may think, Stem Cell Guy isn't the coolest guy. Stem Cell Guy doesn't drive a Ferrari, Stem Cell Guy doesn't own any Armani suits, and Stem Cell Guy doesn't own any oversized Porsche red tinted sunglasses that make me look like "The Fly."
A quick side note: If you wear those Porsche "Top Gun" sunglasses...you look ridiculous. Stem Cell Guy doesn't care if it is a new "trend" or "it is cool." You look ridiculous. Please take them off.
Sorry, I got sidetracked. What Stem Cell Guy really wants to say today is there is a new adult stem cell blog. This blog is smart. It is informative. And they even have a sense of humor. It isn't one of those stuffy blogs that seem to talk down to you. Even a simpleton like Stem Cell Guy can understand it. Stem Cell Guy is going to make it a daily read.
The blog is apparently written by a person called "benotafraid." However, Stem Cell Guy is afraid. Stem Cell Guy is afraid that this excellent new blog will steal all of my loyal stem cell therapy fans.
Benotafraid actually interviewed Stem Cell Guy (Click on link below) and did an excellent write up on Don Margolis- the Theravitae founder who will be coming out with his own new blog next week.
Stem Cell Guy is back. This time Robert Sneary is my subject. Sneary, 62, is originally from Glendale, California, but is now a Maui man. He is a very pleasant guy with a boundless supply of energy and a positive personality and he isn't sneering at the benefits of stem cell therapy. Now surfing waves like Kelly Slater, Robert is very happy about his stem cell treatment. He came to Bangkok (and Theravitae)in January 2006, and he "knew it was going to work." Stem Cell Guy wishes he had Robert's positive outlook on life too, but Stem Cell Guy is happy enough if his air conditioning works (living in Bangkok with broken air conditioning is like the Cleveland Cavaliers trying to play basketball without LeBron James).
Usually Stem Cell Guy writes about patient who have been treated with Vescell adult stem cell therapy. However, today, we have a special treat for all of you loyal readers (all 2 of you- Hi Mom and Pop!). Stem Cell Guy is going to give you a story about a heart disease patient who is on her way to Thailand for stem cell treatment. This week Stem Cell Guy would like to introduce William Bernhardt of DeSoto, Missouri. Stem Cell Guy wonders if the city was named after the classic car or the classic conquistador. But either way, DeSoto should be an interesting place if Mr. Bernhardt lives there. William came to Bangkok in July, 2006 to get his stem cell treatment for his coronary artery disease.
William had been very restricted in his ability to get around and get to work on his big farm. These days, after his stem cell therapy, it is a different story.
Now, William (Bill) is on the dating scene again (he is 78 years old!!), taking dance lessons, and organizing big parties.

My stem cell implant was a success. The cells generated into 15 million. The doctor's took extensive pictures of my heart while injecting the dye. After a brief consult with each other, they placed these cells into 4 areas of my arteries which are still in fair shape. They also placed some into a highly damaged area.
The plane trips were tiring, business class would have been better.
I'll send out more later after meeting with my heart people here.
I spent some time in my gardens picking and eating strawberries. Nothing like the taste of freshly picked food.
Then I went in crashing for awhile since nights and days are still turned around for me!

Richard Rzaca’s journey to extend his life began on a Tuesday morning two weeks ago at a Bonita Springs cardiologist’s office.
His heart, damaged in a near-fatal heart attack in 2003, was getting weaker all the time. Doctors had already performed bypasses and put in stents and prescribed medications to keep his condition in check. They could offer nothing more.
Rzaca, 79, was not ready to die.
The start of the journey has to be timed precisely, so shortly before 8 a.m. nurse Sara Billings shooed Rzaca into an exam room where she and the cardiologist, Dr. Zannos Grekos, drew about 1 cup worth of Rzaca’s blood, sealed it in a pouch, placed the pouch in an insulated bag, nestled the bag in a cardboard box, and then thrust the box into the hands of a waiting courier. The courier would speed the parcel across Alligator Alley in time to put Rzaca’s blood on a 1:30 p.m. plane from Miami to Israel.
